We have endeavoured to make this site as usable and accessible as possible with the aim
of making it accessible to all students. Measures include:
- The site uses fonts which can be scaled up or down in size (using browser functionailty).
- The site uses CSS for style and layouts where possible.
- All forms can be completed using the keyboard only.
- All forms have been designed to be accessible using most common screen-reading software.
All pages within this site have been designed to meet with the World Wide Web Consortium¿s (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 level A standard.
All pages are also designed to be compliant with W3C XHTML 1.0 Transitional standards.
There are exceptions to the WCAG and XHTML compliance that are caused by the use in some circumstances of third party controls to provide better usablility and increased functionality. We continue to monitor the latest versions of these controls and will updgrade them when more compliant versions are available.
A more detailed breakdown of WCAG 2.0 compliance is available here.
